Hi, I’m Joey — I’ve spent my life in the water, and I’ve been immersed in martial arts training and competition for nearly 20 years.
Now, I’m combining time-tested principles from martial arts with modern swim instruction to revolutionize the way your children learn water safety.
At Joey’s All-Stars, we bring structure, motivation, and fun to every swim lesson. Your child won’t just learn how to stay safe — they’ll look forward to every session as they build real confidence, self-esteem, and Life-Saving skills that extend beyond the pool.
Our students proudly progress through the ranks, earning swim belts and All-Star badges as they challenge themselves, support their peers, and celebrate each milestone with friends and family.

Joey Nonaca: Founder, Martial Artist, and Water Enthusiast

As the passionate founder of Joey's All Stars, water has been my world for as long as I can remember. Whether it's the refreshing pool or the boundless ocean, I've always found solace, adventure, and a sense of purpose in the water. My journey began when my parents enrolled me in junior guards, an experience that ignited my love for water activities. By the time I turned 16, I became a certified lifeguard, embodying my commitment to water safety.

A Connection Beyond Borders

My story took an incredible turn as I embarked on surf trips across South America. These journeys weren't just about catching waves; they became a platform for me to forge deep connections with the local communities. In my travels, I found myself teaching the young ones, helping them not only become comfortable in the water but also imparting vital knowledge about water safety. I educated them on the joys of swimming while emphasizing the importance of understanding the risks and following safety protocols.
Joy in Teaching, Encouragement in Every Splash

Through these experiences, I discovered immense joy in teaching others the essential skills to swim and, more importantly, instilling in them the confidence to feel secure in aquatic environments. The connection I built with the children and the encouragement from their parents sparked an idea. They saw not just an instructor, but someone who genuinely cared about their children's well-being and progress.
